Original Flying Turtle
Looking for great gifts for Xmas?
Picked by kids as their favorite, this scooter will
be a top Christmas
gift this year.
The Original Flying Turtle Scooter is kid-powered and provides kids hours of indoor or outdoor fun. Kids simply set on the molded seat, put their feet on the chrome handle bars and swing the handle bars side to side to propel themselves forward on level surfaces.
Recommended for children ages 3 to 12 years old, The Flying
Scooter is the winner of Dr. Toy's Best Classic Toy Award,
Parent's Magazine Best Toys of The Year, Oppenheim Toy
Portfolio Gold Award and National Parenting Publications Gold Award.
The Flying Turtle can handle up to 150 pounds. The seat is made from high quality molded plastic and can be ridden on linoleum or hardwood floors. The wheels are polyurethane and will not leave marks or scratches on floors. It also works great on concrete or asphalt surfaces like sidewalks and driveways.
The Flying Turtle was chosen as the number one favorite toy
by a secret ballot kid's vote at the Indianapolis Children's
Museum
. Now that says a lot! Do you want to buy a toy the
commercials tell you your kids want or a toy KID"S tell
you they want?
Originally designed by a retired Boeing engineer in the 70's for his grandson, this kid-tested, kid-approved scooter was
first made with a tractor seat that still resembles the seat of today. The front wheels are connected to the handlebars via
a
lever. Torque is applied to the handlebars when the rider
swings them causing the scooter to move forward.

Here what customers are saying about The Original Flying Turtle:
I got a flying turtle the Christmas I was 4 years old. That was 36 Christmases ago and my mother still has it. All 12 of her grandchildren have enjoyed riding the 'turtle' and it still works almost as good as new.
I bought my daughter a Flying Turtle 25 years ago. At that time, is was called a Roller Racer. As she spent hours on the Roller Racer and the fact that she enjoyed it so much, I wanted my grandson to have one as well. I was very pleased to see that it is still around, although under a new name. It is undestructible and will provide my 3 year old grandson hours of entertainment.
We now know eight children who have flying turtles and all spend hours riding them. There is something in the design that summons the kids and gives them much enjoyment as they ride around on the turtle. A wonderful invention and we recommend it!
